The MOSFET is a type of field-effect transistor (FET). It is the most commonly used structure for LSIs. The typical material is silicon. MOSFETs are used in the power circuits of switching regulators (PCs), insulation, AC-DC converters, PSRs (adapters), and drivers (LEDs).
